Delta Air Lines will once again be offering nonstop flights between Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport and Malaga’s Costa del Sol Airport to New York JFK for the 2015 summer season.
Flights from Stockholm will begin four times a week from June 5, 2015, increasing to five times a week from June 15, 2015.
Flights from Malaga will begin five times a week from June 4, 2015, increasing to daily from June 29, 2015.
The U.S. airline has scheduled a Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 164 seats on the route, which is operated in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partners Air France KLM on both routes.
“According to data from Statistics Sweden, there was a 17 percent rise in the number of U.S. visitors to Stockholm in 2013 compared to 2010,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“According to Malaga Tourismo, the United States has been the largest growth market recently for visitors to the local area,” added PCantarutti. “With 2015 being the eighth year of our seasonal flights between Malaga and New York, we remain committed to the region and facilitating travel and trade between Spain and the United States.”
