The Ottawa International Airport Authority is very pleased to announce that it will have even more sunshine destinations to offer its clients this winter, along with additional frequency to some of the more demanded destinations that are already served.
New flights include Delta Air Lines service to Atlanta – flights will operate daily over the holiday period and will revert to weekly service for the remainder of the winter schedule. Air Canada will be adding weekly service to Samana, Dominican Republic. Sunwing will provide weekly service to St. Martin/St. Maarten. And finally, Celebrity Cruises, in partnership with Canadian North, will fly non-stop to Miami as a part of their Caribbean cruise offering. The Celebrity service will start in early February.
Air Canada will also be adding twice-weekly direct service to Tampa, Florida, as well as adding frequency to its existing seasonal routes to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Cancun, Montego Bay, Punta Cana, Santa Clara (Cuba) and Varadero.
“Demand for sunshine destinations was extremely high last year, thanks to a winter that seemed to go on forever. We are very pleased to have even more choice for the sunseekers, in addition to many direct flights to ski destinations for those who prefer to enjoy our Canadian winter”, said Mark Laroche, Airport Authority President and CEO. “There’s something for everyone this season”.
