The Travel Attaché Wins Seven Star Global Luxury Award

The 2014 Seven Star Global Luxury Award Ceremony was held at the Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort in Kuala Lumpur on June 14.
The award ceremony was attended by more than 100 global luxury sector heavyweights and the who's who of Malaysian high society including Malaysia's longest serving Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad to vie for the enviable Signum Virtutis the seal of excellence in their respected fields. With 13 coveted award titles across the board in fields including Airlines, Destination Management Companies, Hotels and Resorts, Restaurants and Spas, the luxury travel specialist The Travel Attaché took home the coveted industry title in the category of ‘Luxury Tour Operators.’
Up against world-renowned giants and luxury tour operators including Abercrombie & Kent, Bailey Robinson, Cox and Kings, Dnata, Elegant Resorts, Kuoni and Quintessentially Travel; the two year old UAE homegrown brand proves that a fresh and innovative take to traditional customer service combined with a quest to feed the growing appetite for exploration of different cultures and geographies at a rapid pace can take a company to soaring heights.
“Winning the Seven Star Global Luxury Award for the best Luxury Tour Operator in the world is a massive honour and testament to all the hard work that the team and I have put into The Travel Attaché. The fact that we are only in our second year of business makes it even more special. To have been voted for and chosen ahead of many of the most recognised names and biggest travel brands in the industry makes us feel incredibly proud. It is a real David and Goliath story” notes Liam Wholey, CEO of The Travel Attaché.
Founded in November 2012 by Mishal Kanoo of the Kanoo Group, Gaurav Sinha founder of leading brand-enrichment agency Insignia Worldwide and Liam Wholey current CEO of The Travel Attaché, the boutique travel company takes the industry by storm. Receiving nominations in the final quarter of 2013 as a finalist in the SME of the Year category at the inaugural Arabian Business start-up awards, The Travel Attaché is rapidly making a name for itself in the Middle East and spreading its reach to the global travel stage.
“It has been an exciting journey and this is just the beginning. We are proud to be a brand that was conceptualised and born in the UAE and I feel that it goes to show what an amazing land of opportunity this is. I hope that this award contributes, even if only a tiny bit, to further cementing the reputation of the UAE as a nation of successes” adds Liam Wholey.
It is with this increasing demand that The Travel Attaché continues to cater to the Luxury Travel Market in the region, largely contributing to inbound and outbound tourists in the UAE. With younger generations of Emirati travellers taking individual holidays, they emphasise and provide more focus on authentic and exclusive experiences as opposed to traditional luxury. As the rapidly growing company sees more than twice the net worth travellers coming into the UAE in the first two quarters of 2014 as opposed to the entire year if 2013, it is apparent that there is an emerging trend in the UAE in the niche for a fresh take on luxury travel.
“We are very excited about the future and we hope that this recognition will encourage even more of the residents of the UAE to trust us to organise phenomenal and memorable holidays for them. The Travel Attaché service is entirely focused on arranging beautifully-tailored travel experiences to discerning customers who are looking for impeccable, personal and expert guidance so that they get the most out of their holiday time” mentions Liam Wholey.
