According to new research by hotel solutions provider HRS, average room rates in London have risen to almost £116 per night, putting it ahead of Zurich and Moscow, which both have an average room rate of £111.
Edinburgh is ranked as the second most expensive city to stay in in the UK, with an average room rate per night of £89, which is a 12% increase against Q1 in 2013.
The research showed that Liverpool is the cheapest city to stay in, with an average room rate of £69 per night.
