North America and the Caribbean turn up in force for WTM Latin America

Exhibitors from the region present what’s new for attracting Latin American tourists in the Leisure and Business segments.

The United States and Canada are long-established destinations for Latin American visitors and above all for Brazilians. The search for other options, like Mexico and the Caribbean Islands has been reinforcing the Latin public’s predilection for the region. This growing interest is confirmed in the 2014 edition of WTM Latin America, the most international tourist industry fair on the American continent, which is taking place between 23 and 25 April in the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo (SP), along with the 41st BRAZTOA (Brazilian Association of Tour Operators) Commercial Meeting.
Visitors this year will be able to count on the significant presence of tour operators, tourist attractions, travel service providers and major hotel chains from the region, which will bring what’s new in the tourist industry in these countries.

On the Brand USA (Discover America) stand are tourism organisations from various American states, including Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon and Philadelphia. California, Florida and New York City, destinations that welcome the most Latin Americans, will have their own areas, where buyers will be able to find out more about business possibilities and the different attractions they will find there.
The large American hotel chains have also guaranteed their presence at WTM Latin America, like Hilton Worldwide and Trump Hotels. Among the commercial enterprises the highlights are stores like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, and shopping centres. Visit Orlando and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority are just two of the many representatives of North American leisure attractions.

Also participating in the fair are international references from Canada, like the Canadian Cirque du Soleil and various promotions offices, like the Canadian Tourism Commission and regional agencies, Ottawa, Ontario and Niagara Falls Tourism, as well as airline companies, like Air Canada.
Mexico and the Caribbean, in their turn, are marking their presence mainly in leisure tourism, promoting hotel chains like Caribbean Hotels, Sandal & Beaches Resorts, Aeromexico and Mexican Posadas Group, one of the main groups in the country. The long list of destinations brings together exhibitors from The Bahamas, Aruba, The Dominican Republic, St. Martin, Saint Lucia, Turks & Caicos, Barbados, Jamaica and Cuba.
