Exhibitors from places like Micronesia, Fiji Islands, Mongolia and Turkmenistan reveal attractions that are little known by Latin Americans
In a search for new markets, different products and destinations are taking part in WTM Latin America, the most international fair in the tourist industry on the American continent, which is taking place between 23 and 25 April in the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo. The event will be held jointly with the 41st BRAZTOA (Brazilian Association of Tour Operators) Commercial Meeting.
North Korea, Samoa, Cook Islands, Azerbaijan and French Polynesia are just some of the various destinations that will be presented by travel agencies, service providers and hotel chains during the fair.
With destinations like the outback and the Australian coastline, Oceania has countless options for action sports and travel in the open air in the rich landscapes of New Zealand. At the fair there will be no lack of more exotic trips with destinations in the Fiji Islands, Tahiti and the whole of the Pacific area, promoted by specialist agencies.
Among the Asian destinations that are heavily represented at the fair the highlight is the delegation from India, with which Brazil has had a bilateral agreement in the tourist sector since2004. Just on the India Tourism stand, for example, there will be 15 organisations, among them promotions entities, and travel agencies and service providers.
In addition to India, visitors will be able to get to know other tourist destinations in Asia that are increasingly arousing the interest of Latin Americans, like Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.
