Europe Meets the Americas at Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival

The 3rd Annual Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival will take place March 13 – 16 with the theme, Europe Meets the Americas.

This year’s the festival will celebrate France with the participation of celebrity Chef Daniel Boulud – considered a culinary authority that has evolved French cuisine in the Americas and around the world. From Mexico, the festival will honor Chef Guillermo Gonzalez Beristain from Monterrey, who has revolutionized traditional and contemporary food in the northern part of Mexico.

“Since its inception in 2012, the festival has provided a multifaceted platform for the destination. Truly a collaborative effort between the festival’s organizers and the Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau, the festival doubles as a showcase for the region’s finest tastemakers and rising culinary stars while also welcoming an international audience to experience a taste of Cancun,” said Jesus Almaguer, CEO of the Cancun CVB. “Last year alone more than 5,000 attendees experienced the three day culinary journey, and I am pleased to report that this year’s guests can expect to witness the next stage of a bigger and better CRM Fest that can only be described as delectable. This festival sheds light on Cancun’s evolution as a major player in the burgeoning arena of culinary travel, and we are pleased to once again have the opportunity to welcome locals and visitors alike to discover or rediscover all that we have to offer.”

These Celebrity Star chefs will be accompanied by 50 recognized chefs from Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Venezuela. Acclaimed sommeliers and enologists will also be attending, including some of the best sommeliers of Mexico, the Americas and the rest of the world. They will offer tastings of the best wines from the Americas, Europe, and Mexico; in addition to mezcal and other spirits.

Cancun host hotels for the festival include Secrets The Vine, NIZUC Resort & Spa and Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa. More than 25 events will take place within these hotels including: wine and spirits tastings, interactive cooking challenges, gourmet tasting villages, celebrity dinners and more.
