Cuba will host the 5th International Convention on Physical Activity and Sport (FIDE), to be attended by delegates from 43 countries.
According to organizers, the event will take place at Havana's Convention Center and will bring together experts from Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador, among other countries.
Cuba will be represented by more than 200 delegates and will present 217 papers chosen at grassroots, municipal and provincial levels.
The topics on debate include biomechanics, sports, environment and society, therapeutic physical culture, high performance, psychology, and leisure time and recreation.
The meeting is considered the main scientific event on sports in Cuba and contributes to enhancing the knowledge of professors and technicians who work in the sports sector.
