Staybridge Suites Beirut Opens

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opens Staybridge Suites Beirut, marking the entrance of the international extended-stay hotel brand into Lebanon. 

Staybridge Suites Beirut is located in Verdun Street in downtown Beirut, within walking distance of the famous Hamra Street, the seafront promenade and local universities, including the American University of Beirut (AUB). The 121-suite hotel offers panoramic views of the city and its apartment-style accommodation and prime location will appeal to guests who are looking for more space to live, work and relax close to the city centre.

Designed to provide home away from home comfort, the hotel's studio suites and one and two bedroom apartments all feature fully equipped kitchenettes, large work-spaces and 32" LED TVs. The hotel also features a roof-top swimming pool; The Pantry, a 24-hour shop stocked with food and drink; complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel; the Laundry Room; secure underground parking; and gym facilities.

Staybridge Suites caters to the individual needs of extended stay guests by providing excellent facilities alongside a sociable, residential atmosphere. Guests at the hotel can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the hotel's Hub Kitchen as well as a chance to mingle over complimentary drinks and snacks at regular after-work receptions.

The first Staybridge Suites hotel opened in 1998, providing guests with an all-suite hotel with home-like comforts – more space than an ordinary hotel room, and a full kitchen, in a warm, welcoming and sociable environment. There are currently 191 hotels open globally with a further 76 in the pipeline. The brand debuted in the Middle East in Cairo in 2008 with Staybridge Suites Cairo – Citystars and was joined by Staybridge Suites Abu Dhabi – Yas Island in 2009. The brand continues to expand across the Middle East with six more hotels due to open over the coming years, in the UAE (3), Saudi Arabia (1), Bahrain (1) and Kuwait (1).
