Monday 9 September and Tuesday 10 September marked the two
days of the first MeetingPlanners Russia
forum in the InterContinental Tverskaya hotel in the centre of Moscow .
Many planners from Russia and
CIS countries made their way to the event to meet up with worldwide suppliers
having a keen interest in increasing their market share.
After the welcome speech by the organizers of Europe Congress- Managing Director Alain Pallas, and the Business Development Director Asya Revina, as well as the General Manager of InterContinental Tverskaya, Mr. Mathieu van Alphen, the program commenced.
The program comprised of a total of 30 pre-scheduled one-to-one meeting slots, 2 educational sessions by Winfried Barczaitis, networking coffee breaks and luncheons spread over the two event days. The Europe Congress Team created a well-organized and well-catered event to provide the best setting for all participants to achieve what they came for: Business!
After the successful completion of business day one, InterContinental Tverskaya offered a reception on the third floor allowing further networking and benchmarking opportunities before buses arrived at the hotel to bring all participants to the evening venue. The recently opened Buddha Bar inMoscow proved
to be an excellent choice to continue the evening known for its mystic
ambiance, fantastic food and superb music creating a fabulous completion of the
day.
Business Development Director for Europe Congress, Asya Revina mentioned “This first year event is a good success. The local market has never seen an event of this kind and from the reactions of suppliers, destinations as well as the meeting planners, we gathered enough feedback to continue this quest and deliver a further improved version in2014” .
