to information get from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority,
international traffic continued to rise in May 2013 at Orlando
International Airport.
The airport reported 3 million travelers in May, a 1.6 percent drop from the year earlier. The traffic decline was due to “softness” in domestic travel, the authority said.
Domestic traffic decreased 2 percent with 2.68 million travelers. Year-to-date domestic travel is down 2.7 percent to 13.3 million in May.
International traffic improved 2.2 percent welcoming 305,998 passengers. International travel for the first five months of the year was also up 6.7 percent.
Total year-to-date travel is down 1.7 percent to 15 million passengers coming to-and-from Orlando International.
