"Bookings to date suggest that our customers are taking about 12 trips per year, which means that our average customer will earn an extra 80,000 reward miles annually that they can use for free trips to anywhere in the world," said Jay Hoffmann, CEO/Cofounder of Rocketmiles. "Customers tell us they are saving miles to use for their next big vacation. One of our top customers, who travels weekly to Los Angeles, has already earned enough miles to fund a summer trip to Barcelona."
In addition to receiving the bonus miles, Rocketmiles customers are staying at desirable premium hotels across the country and paying the same rates as found on other hotel booking sites. The average hotel rate paid per night by Rocketmiles customers was $195, and the most popular cities booked were New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Other findings from Rocketmiles customer bookings reveal the following:
- The most miles received from a single hotel stay was 31,000 miles for a 4-night stay in New York, enough for a domestic ticket on any of Rocketmiles five airline partners
- Rocketmiles estimates that 82% of its hotel bookings are made by business travelers
- Customers are booking premium hotels. The average price per night is $195 for a 4-star property

In
addition to giving thousands of free airline miles, Rocketmiles is
unique from other travel sites by vetting and confirming that the
premium properties it features are well-matched to it's premium
customers. A handful of properties are featured for each search,
based on careful review by Rocketmiles staff of experienced
travelers. After a Rocketmiles customer checks out of their hotel,
frequent flier miles are deposited into their account and they are a
gigantic leap closer to their next free vacation.
