This
summer will signify a new phase for Hyatt's Andaz brand as it unveils
Andaz Maui at Wailea, a resort reflective of and inspired by the
destination of Maui, located on 15 pristine acres of southwestern
coastline.
The first resort for the Andaz brand, Andaz Maui at Wailea will remain true to the signature brand elements that define Andaz hotels around the globe, including offering inspiring experiences that celebrate Maui's rich, local culture. From the design features and superior service, to the stunning ocean views and relationships in the community, the Hawaiian spirit will be infused throughout the resort, inviting guests to arrive as vacationers and leave as 'ohana, or family.
“Andaz Maui at Wailea bridges the character of Hawaii with the experiences travelers seek when they visit great destinations around the world – personalized, uncomplicated service and a rich understanding of the local neighborhood,” said Michael Stephens, general manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea. “We look forward to expressing the gracious spirit of Hawaii and inviting guests to indulge in their own personal sense of comfort and style while creating own inspiring experiences in Maui.”
As citizens of the Maui community, the resort team has made a commitment to incorporate significant sustainable practices, and Andaz Maui at Wailea will be Hawaii's first LEED® certified resort under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, the nationally accepted benchmark for green buildings. Designed by the award-winning design and architecture firm Rockwell Group, the resort has a design approach that reduces energy and water consumption, minimizes waste and harmful emissions, and stresses sustainable design as an integral component of its overall strategy. Upon opening, Andaz Maui at Wailea will bring a new level of environmental consciousness to one of the most sought after destinations in the world.
