announced the launch of a cutting-edge education offering, featuring
online courses for tourism professionals.
The Sustainable Tourism Professionals Certificate helps participants develop the skills and knowledge necessary to address sustainability challenges, facilitate professional growth, and maximize career opportunities. Successful completion of the program results in an official certificate.
Courses are presented in a self-paced, online format, and are suitable for a wide range of participants, from entry- to executive-level. The content, developed by the International Institute of Tourism Studies at George Washington University, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), encompasses the most up-to-date offering in the travel and tourism industry focused on sustainable tourism. The Sustainable Tourism Professionals Certificate costs just $450 per person. Participants will complete one core course and three 8-12 hour online courses, each ending with a final exam. Successful applicants for the certificate must also have worked in sustainable tourism for a minimum of two years, and must actively engage in sustainable tourism practices.
