Grand
Mercure, The Vintage, Accor Vacation Club Apartments in NSW’s
iconic Hunter Valley, could be likened to a great bottle of red wine
– getting better and better with the years.
All
thirty one apartments (15 one bedroom, 16 two bedroom) have recently
undergone a complete redesign under Accor Vacation Club’s “Wine
Country Resort Series”, which not only uses locally inspired
elements, but also implements modern day environmental initiatives,
suited to that precise climate.
The
“Resort Series” brand standards, developed to ensure a superior
level of quality and design and product longevity, also reduces
maintenance expenses and brings a high level of consistency, expected
by Accor Vacation Club Members across its portfolio of 21 properties
in Australia, New Zealand and Bali.
The
“Wine Country Resort Series” draws on inspiration from the
natural surrounds, with wall coverings and tiles in a rich
sophisticated palette, and with finishes creating warmth for the
cooler wine country region.
The
addition of ethanol fireplaces in the one bedroom apartments ensures
that the ambience is of luxurious warmth and reflects the two bedroom
apartments which have gas fireplaces. Complimenting the regions
nearby cellar doors, wine fridges are incorporated into the design of
the larger two bedroom apartments.
Accor
Vacation Club properties are popular for families, couples and groups
with the apartment style product attractive for extended stays. As a
result of this the design and products selected is of a higher
quality modern and practical design.
Environmental
initiatives have also been implemented with LED lighting and water
saving fixtures. In addition to this connectivity is being provided
with media hub units linked to the digital televisions.
The
apartments are ideally located in the Resort around a central pool,
and native gardens, adjacent to the Greg Norman designed 18 hole golf
course.
Close
by are the world-class wineries such as Bimbadgen, de Bortoli,
Brokenwood, Peppertree and Wyndham Estate to name a few. The annual
“Lovedale Long Lunch” event draws thousands, who flock to enjoy
the local produce and ambiance of the region, 2 and a half hours
drive from Sydney.
Qantas,
Jetstar, Virgin, REX, Brindabella and Aeropelican airlines all
service nearby Newcastle Williamtown Airport with regular scheduled
flights.
