Air
Malta is pleased to announce the return of charter flights from
Birmingham Airport this summer.
Back
by popular demand, the Maltese airline will operate two weekly
charter flights to and from Birmingham every Tuesday and Friday,
between May and October. The launch of these new services will
increase accessibility to the islands and allow passengers to fly
from their local airport.Commenting on this new service, Philip Saunders, Chief Commercial Officer for Air Malta, said: “Air Malta is building on its position in the UK as a leader in the market to Malta. Our summer charter operations further confirms the airline’s commitment to boost incoming tourism to Malta from the UK, and to bring Malta closer to their home. These flights also make it much easier for the Maltese market to visit the British regions.”
William Pearson, Aviation Development Director at Birmingham Airport added: “These charter flights are a great addition to our summer schedule and we’re sure they’ll prove to be very popular with passengers who want to grab some Mediterranean sun. This latest route announcement is proof that people living in the West Midlands and the surrounding areas want to fly from their local airport.”
