Lufthansa, Europe’s largest airline and a member of the Star Alliance, clinches top honours in the latest Skytrax Star Ranking review for its First Class product and service package.
This
accolade is announced in parallel with the launch of Lufthansa’s
newly-improved First Class Ground Service which now comprises of
dedicated personal assistants at selected airports across the Asia
Pacific region. The first phase launch includes Singapore, Bangkok,
Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo (Narita) and Ho
Chi Minh City with more airports to be
introduced in the coming years.
Kicking
off in January 2013, dedicated personal assistants attend to the
requirements of Lufthansa First Class passengers such as accompanying
the passenger by the fastest route through security and passport
control (provided that this is permitted by the authorities). Upon
request, the personal assistant will accompany the passenger from the
lounge to the departure gate where the passenger will be given
priority boarding and be personally introduced to the crew.
“Following
the introduction of our new and multi-award winning First Class cabin
on board our long-haul aircrafts, we are now very happy to be able to
offer our First Class guests a new service on the ground”, said
Steffen Harbarth, Vice President Asia Pacific of Lufthansa German
Airlines. “The dedicated personal assistant service ensures a first
class experience throughout your travel.”
Other
products and services offered to Lufthansa First Class passengers
include an exclusive First Class Terminal in Frankfurt, access to
various First Class lounges worldwide including the world’s first
premium lounge in Frankfurt with a Library located at the new
Terminal 1 Gate Area, flying in the quietest cabin in the skies
onboard Lufthansa’s Airbus A380 and savouring in-flight meals
created by world-renowned international Star Chefs.
"The
total package delivered in the Lufthansa First Class product and
service across both airport and onboard experiences meet a strong
5-Star standard, and that is why we are delighted to announce the
upgrading of Lufthansa to this small, but exclusive group of airlines
that meet world-class, 5-Star standards for First Class air travel"
