Bit
has invited China to be the Guest Country at its 2013 edition, being
a true and proper revelation in the previous touristic season: the
Asiatic giant is steadily growing in importance both for the incoming
flows, as destination, as well as for the outgoing flows as
a market for
other countries, in particular for “destination Italy”.
Three
aces of Bit 2013
Choosing
one country per region, outstanding for its combination of nature,
culture, tourism offer and originality, amongst the leaders in the
Mediterranean area we find Turkey with
its Antalya beaches, the cosmopolitan fascinationof
Istanbul, the only city in the world lying on two continents, and its
extraordinary historical heritage, comprising its religious
destinations, such as the one linked with St. Paul. In
Europe, Hungary presents
Budapest as its visiting card, a metropolis with an ancient heart and
a European soul, but also nature
calls from
the Hungarian steppe or puszta, and Lake Balaton. From amongst the
extra-European countries, Thailand has
succeeded in offering quality tourism, remaining faithful to its
traditions, now for all to see with its endless festivities and
rites.
The
Italy sector (Halls 1/3) hosts a workshop area dedicated to Bit
BuyItaly, a strategic positioning in synergy with
the Italian regions, to further facilitate contact with the
international demand, including at the booths.
Also
in the Italy sector, 4 macro-areas on the themes of nature, culture,
taste and adventure, to help travelers put together a tailor-made
trip, with the support of the Facebook app “What kind of traveler
are you?”.
The
Ministry for Regional Affairs, Tourism and Sport, in their “Spazio
Italia”, will host a dedicated space for accessible tourism, in
collaboration with Reatech, the event for people
with special needs.
100
countries from all over the world will take part in Bit 2013, hosted
in The World sector, Halls 2/4. Bangladesh,
