MIAMI – Royal Caribbean has announced its 2028 Alaska lineup, with four ships operating seven-night cruises from April through September. Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas will offer itineraries from Seattle, Seward and Vancouver. Selected sailings will also offer multi-night Cruisetour land experiences. These options will allow travelers to extend their journeys before or after their cruises.
The itineraries will visit glaciers, wildlife areas and coastal communities across Alaska. Destinations include Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan. The 2028 Alaska lineup is open for booking to Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members. The program will open to the wider market on October 1.
Anthem and Ovation itineraries
Anthem of the Seas will operate seven-night cruises from Seward and Vancouver between May and September. The program will combine Alaska’s coastline with two- to six-night Cruisetour experiences. Selected itineraries will include Denali National Park. Guests can visit Hubbard Glacier and Ketchikan, where activities include fishing, kayaking, hiking and zip lining. On board, Anthem will offer the North Star observation capsule, SeaPlex and live entertainment. Dining options include Jamie’s Italian and Johnny Rockets.
Ovation of the Seas will operate seven-night cruises from Seattle between May and September. The itineraries will include Sitka, Skagway and Juneau, along with Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. The recently amplified ship features the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the new Sound Cellar and the Pesky Parrot tiki bar. Dining options include Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, Chops Grille and Izumi Teppanyaki.
Serenade and Voyager sailings
Serenade of the Seas will offer seven-night cruises from Vancouver between May and September. Its itineraries will include Icy Strait Point, Prince Rupert in British Columbia and Juneau. Guests will have access to the rock-climbing wall, poolside movie nights and live music at the Schooner Bar.
The ship features more than three acres of glass exteriors, providing views of the surrounding Alaska landscape. Voyager of the Seas will operate seven-night cruises from Seattle between April and September.
The itineraries will visit Sitka, Juneau and Skagway in Alaska, as well as Victoria in British Columbia. Guests can visit national historic sites and encounter wildlife including grizzly bears, harbor seals and bald eagles. On board, Voyager features ice skating and laser tag at Studio B, mini golf and arcade games. Adults can also use the Solarium pool deck.
New Seward terminal supports Alaska journeys
Travelers departing from Seward can combine their cruise with services from Royal Caribbean Group and the Alaska Railroad. The new terminal in Seward offers mountain views, arrival and embarkation facilities, and access to the neighboring Alaska Railroad station. The facility is also part of Royal Caribbean Group’s SEA the Future corporate responsibility initiative. It provides a year-round gathering space for sports, youth programs and other group activities. The terminal has also hosted events for local entrepreneurs participating in the Port Partners small business accelerator program.
