MADRID – Hilton has opened Casa Verbena Madrid, its first European hotel under Outset Collection by Hilton. The 45-room property occupies Calle de Preciados in central Madrid. It combines interiors by Madrid-born designer Lorenzo Castillo with rooftop views and a traditional Madrileño breakfast. Moreover, the hotel aims to connect guests with everyday life in the Spanish capital, beyond its best-known landmarks.
- Casa Verbena Madrid marks the European debut of Outset Collection by Hilton.
- The 45-room hotel features locally inspired interiors, city views and a traditional Madrid-style breakfast.
- Its illustrated “Our Madrid” guide recommends local cafés, shops, bars and neighbourhood addresses.
A hotel inspired by Madrid’s everyday culture
The hotel takes its name from the Spanish tradition of the verbena. This lively neighbourhood celebration brings people together through food, music and shared customs. In addition, the property draws inspiration from costumbrismo, an artistic tradition depicting local customs, characters and daily rituals.
Rather than focusing solely on famous attractions, Casa Verbena Madrid highlights the cafés, streets and squares that shape local life. Its interiors reflect this approach through artwork inspired by costumbrismo, warm materials, fluted glass, brass finishes and layered textures. Together, these details reference Madrid’s architectural and cultural heritage in a contemporary setting.
King Corner Room
Many guest rooms overlook Preciados street and its characteristic Madrid façades. Meanwhile, the Preciados Rooms feature terraces with views across the city’s rooftops towards the Royal Palace.
Each morning, guests can enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s emerald dining room. The menu includes churros inspired by Madrid’s historic churrería culture, pan con tomate with Iberian ham and Spanish tortilla. Locally roasted coffee and freshly squeezed juice complete the offering.
Local recommendations and the Outset Collection strategy
To help guests explore the city, the hotel has worked with a local artist on “Our Madrid”. This seasonal illustrated guide shares recommendations for cafés, shops, bars and neighbourhood addresses favoured by local residents. As a result, guests receive a curated introduction to the capital beyond its main tourist sights.
David Kelly, Senior Vice President, Continental Europe, Hilton, said: “Madrid is a special destination for Hilton, and in recent years we’ve broadened our presence in the city with distinctive brands and properties designed to meet different traveller needs. Casa Verbena Madrid builds on that story as the European debut of Outset Collection by Hilton. Full of character and with a strong sense of place, the hotel reflects the creativity and energy of Madrid. We’re delighted to welcome the hotel to our growing portfolio of collection properties across Europe.”

Elizabeth Scruggs, Brand Leader, Outset Collection by Hilton, said: “Casa Verbena Madrid represents the essence of Outset Collection, offering guests a stay that feels deeply connected to the destination,” said Elizabeth Scruggs, brand leader, Outset Collection by Hilton. “As our first hotel in Europe, it sets the tone for how we envision the collection growing around the world: through independent hotels with compelling stories, strong local identities and a genuine sense of discovery. With more than 100 hotels under development globally, we are building a collection of individual hotels that invite travellers to experience a destination through a more personal lens, all with the benefits of Hilton.”

As part of Outset Collection, Casa Verbena Madrid participates in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty programme
. Members can book stays through Hilton’s direct channels, earn points and redeem them for future stays. They can also access the programme’s established member benefits.
The opening adds a locally focused property to Hilton’s European collection portfolio.
