Charlestowne Hotels has appointed Stephanie Bauer as regional VP, operations and Hayato Nogaki as operations director.
In their new roles, the two executives will work closely with on-property teams and ownership groups to strengthen the company’s operational standards, elevate team performance and drive results across the company’s portfolio of more than 60 hotels.
The appointments come as Charlestowne expands its footprint both intentionally and strategically. “Growth doesn’t change what we owe our owners and our teams. If anything, it raises the bar,” said Kyle Hughey, CEO, Charlestowne Hotels. “Stephanie and Hayato bring exactly the kind of hands-on leadership that keeps that promise, giving our properties even stronger operational support as we move forward.”
Bauer brings more than 20 years of hospitality leadership experience across upper-upscale, lifestyle and luxury hotels. Most recently, she served as VP, operations at Remington Hospitality, leading a diverse portfolio of lifestyle and soft-branded properties. She has also held senior operations roles with Hospitality Ventures Management Group, AVANA Capital and Westmont Hospitality Group, overseeing ground-up repositionings of underperforming and newly acquired properties and managing transformation, renovation and rebranding initiatives across multiple U.S. markets.
“Partnering with owners across every phase of a property’s life—from day-to-day operations to the big picture decisions that shape long-term value—is where I thrive,” she said. “Understanding the full operational picture and building strong owner relationships is what lets us deliver results that stick. I’m looking forward to bringing that approach and focus to Charlestowne’s portfolio.”
With more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience across luxury hotels and resorts, Nogaki brings experience in both on-property and above-property roles. Most recently, he led hotel operations in Honolulu, overseeing a complex transition while driving meaningful improvements in guest service and financial performance. He has also held senior leadership roles with Omni Hotels & Resorts, Salamander Hotels & Resorts, The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort and The Resort at Pelican Hill, with experience spanning general management, operations, food and beverage, hotel openings and transitions. Throughout his career, he has led teams through a wide range of operating environments, including the openings of Salamander Resort & Spa and NOPSI Hotel.
“My focus has always been on service standards and financial performance moving together, the kind of consistency that earns guest loyalty and industry recognition alike,” he said. “I’m looking forward to helping Charlestowne’s properties reach that next level of distinction for owners and guests.”
Matt Barba, COO, Charlestowne Hotels, added, “Steph’s perspective and leadership are a significant addition to our operations group, and Hayato’s depth of experience in service culture, operational standards, F&B, openings and transitions will be a tremendous asset to our company. Beyond what they each bring professionally, they share a strong commitment to the people and teams they support, and we’re pleased to have them join us as we serve our current portfolio and build towards what’s next in the coming months.”
