National occupancy reached 78.9%, up 1.6% from July 2025. Average daily rate (ADR) increased 7.2% to CAD267.44, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 9.0% to CAD211.01.
Among Canada’s provinces and territories, Quebec recorded the largest increase in occupancy, rising 7.8% year on year to 81.7%. The province also posted the strongest RevPAR growth, up 17.1% to CAD213.11.
Quebec hosted several events and conferences during the period, including FEQ and Startupfest.
Nova Scotia registered the largest increase in ADR, which rose 12.1% to CAD272.46. Events held in the province included the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the Halifax Jazz Festival and the Pictou Lobster Carnival. New Brunswick recorded the second-highest ADR increase, up 11.2% to CAD200.55, while RevPAR increased 13.0% to CAD167.88. The province hosted the Shediac Lobster Festival during the month.
Among Canada’s major hotel markets, Montreal recorded the strongest year-on-year growth across occupancy, ADR and RevPAR. Montreal’s occupancy increased 11.8% to 84.5%, while ADR rose 10.7% to CAD268.71. The combination pushed RevPAR up 23.7% to CAD227.11.
The Montreal market hosted a range of events during the period, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Nuits d’Afrique, the International Fireworks Competition and the Osheaga Music Festival
