Syria Travel Show 2026 will take place from 28 to 30 September at Al Moutanbi Hall in the Dama Rose Hotel, Damascus. The inaugural event will focus on commercial opportunities across Syria’s travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.
The exhibition had initially been scheduled for April 2026. However, organisers subsequently moved it to September following regional developments and to support wider international participation.
The event will be held under the patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Tourism. It is organised by Mangusteen Events and Exhibitions and SO Media.
Syria Travel Show 2026 will bring together tourism authorities, investors, developers and hotel groups. Airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, technology providers, franchise businesses, cultural institutions and other tourism stakeholders are also expected to participate.
The exhibition is being positioned as a platform for companies assessing market-entry, investment and partnership opportunities in Syria. Areas of focus include hospitality, aviation, destination development, tourism technology, cultural experiences and supporting infrastructure.
The event follows an increase in reported visitor movements during the first half of 2026. According to figures from Syria’s Ministry of Tourism, the country received 3.52 million visitors, including foreign and Arab travellers and Syrian expatriates.
This compared with 1.67 million visitors during the same period of 2025, representing growth of 111%. Syrian expatriates accounted for the largest category, reaching 2.13 million arrivals, up 75% from 1.22 million.
Foreign visitor arrivals increased to 719,000 from 131,000, representing growth of 448%. Türkiye was the largest foreign source market, followed by Germany, Sweden, the United States, the Netherlands, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the number of Arab visitors rose by 107% to 664,000, compared with 320,000 during the first half of 2025. Jordan led the Arab source markets, followed by Lebanon and Iraq, while the ministry also reported growth from Gulf countries.
The ministry said the increase in demand has created requirements for additional hotel capacity, infrastructure and tourism services. Syria Travel Show 2026 is intended to connect businesses with potential partners as the sector expands its accommodation, transport and visitor-service capacity.
Mazen Al-Salhani, Minister of Tourism, said: “Syria’s tourism sector is entering a new phase, underpinned by growing regional and international confidence, rising visitor demand and a clear commitment to creating an investment-friendly environment. Our ambition is to build a tourism-led economy by empowering the private sector, attracting responsible investment and developing world-class tourism experiences that showcase Syria’s unique cultural and natural assets. Syria Travel Show will provide an important platform for bringing together investors, industry leaders and strategic partners to unlock the sector’s full potential and shape its next phase of growth.”
For investors and property developers, the show will include discussions on hotel and resort development, tourism real estate and infrastructure. Destination readiness and public-private partnership models will also form part of the programme.
Regional and international hotel operators will be able to examine management agreements and development partnerships. The event will also cover opportunities to introduce hospitality concepts into the Syrian market.
Franchise businesses operating in accommodation, food and beverage, retail, wellness and visitor services will be able to assess demand and identify potential local partners. Discussions will also examine market-entry options for established brands.
Tour operators, destination management companies and travel agencies will have opportunities to develop distribution partnerships and inbound programmes. Product areas will include cultural, heritage, religious, medical, wellness, adventure and experiential tourism.
The exhibition will also target airlines and aviation service providers involved in restoring international connectivity. Online travel agencies, booking platforms, payment providers and travel technology companies are among the other businesses expected to attend.
Syria Travel Show 2026 will combine a travel trade exhibition with keynote addresses and panel discussions. The three-day programme will also include cultural presentations, professional networking and scheduled B2B meetings.
Organisers are targeting more than 30 exhibitors, over 20 speakers and upwards of 5,000 attendees. The projected participation includes business visitors, institutional representatives and tourism professionals.
The conference programme will examine tourism policy, investment and public-private partnerships. Other subjects include hospitality, aviation, destination marketing, inbound travel and regional cooperation.
Sessions will also cover cultural heritage, travel technology, entrepreneurship and workforce development. The programme is intended to connect tourism planning with the operational and investment requirements of the sector.
On the exhibition floor, participants will present Syrian destinations, hospitality businesses, travel services and tourism products. Investment opportunities will also be presented to operators, developers and institutional partners.
A dedicated B2B programme will facilitate meetings between investors, buyers, operators and suppliers. It will also connect participating businesses with tourism authorities and other institutional organisations. Exhibitors and sponsors will be able to present their services to public and private-sector decision-makers. The event will also provide opportunities to generate business contacts, demonstrate tourism-related solutions and participate in discussions concerning the sector’s development.
