Sky Bird launches travel advisor campaign

SOUTHFIELD, MI – Sky Bird has launched a nationwide travel advisor campaign as the company marks its 50th anniversary this month. Centred on the hashtag #WhyUseATravelAgent, the initiative aims to support travel professionals and increase consumer awareness across North America.

The campaign seeks to unite travel agencies, advisors and industry partners while reinforcing the role of professional travel advisors. It comes as geopolitical uncertainty, airline disruption, changing entry requirements and evolving global conditions continue to affect travellers worldwide.

Sky Bird is encouraging travel agencies, advisors and other industry partners to promote collectively the benefits of working with a trusted travel professional. The initiative focuses on the experience, guidance, advocacy and direct support that advisors provide before and during a trip.

As part of the travel advisor campaign, Sky Bird has created customisable marketing assets, social media materials, awareness messages and supporting collateral. Travel agencies can personalise the materials with their own branding and distribute them to clients.

Norman Knowles, CEO of Sky Bird, said: “For 50 years, Sky Bird has stood beside the travel advisor community, and we believe now is the right moment to lead a broader industry conversation around the true value travel advisors bring to travelers every single day.”

He added. “When disruptions happen, travelers quickly realize that technology alone cannot replace experience, advocacy, guidance, and human support. This campaign is about bringing the industry together to remind travelers that professional travel advisors remain one of the most important resources in travel.”

The initiative also reflects Sky Bird’s long-term engagement with the travel advisor community. During the past five decades, the company has supported agencies across the United States through exclusive airfare solutions, booking technology and global airline partnerships.

Its services also include 24-hour expert support and the proprietary WINGS Booking Platform. These tools form part of the company’s operational support for travel agencies and advisors.

Arvin Shah, Chairman of Sky Bird, said: “Travel advisors are the backbone of this industry, and they deserve greater visibility, stronger advocacy and support.”

He continued: “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we wanted to mark this milestone by launching an initiative that reflects our long-standing commitment to the travel advisor community. We are proud to help lead efforts that strengthen the profession, elevate its value, and support its continued growth across North America.”
