Blue Flag Capital, in partnership with its in-house management company Collared Martin Hospitality, has announced the openings of Faraway Sag Harbor and Faraway Jackson Hole, marking the first expansion of the Faraway Hotels brand beyond its New England origins.
Opened within weeks of one another in June, the two hotels extend the brand from its established presence on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard to the Hamptons waterfront and the American West. According to the company, the expansion reflects its strategy of reimagining established properties while preserving the local identity and heritage of each destination.

Jason Brown, Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Flag Capital, said: “From the beginning, our goal with Faraway was never to create a formula, but rather a collection of hotels that each tell a unique story about the place they inhabit. Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole are incredibly different destinations, but both share the qualities we look for – strong identities, rich histories, and communities that care deeply about where they live. We’re excited to bring the Faraway brand to each market in a way that feels authentic to its surroundings.”
Faraway Sag Harbor represents the transformation of the former Baron’s Cove into a 67-room waterfront hotel inspired by the village’s maritime and whaling heritage. Designed in collaboration with Jenny Bukovec Studio, the interiors follow an Oceanic Revival concept, combining coastal colour palettes, layered textures and residential-style gathering spaces.
The property’s food and beverage offering is centred on Zagara, an Amalfi Coast-inspired restaurant led by Executive Chef and Culinary Director Jarad McCarroll. The hotel also features a heated outdoor swimming pool with cabanas, a padel court, seasonal spa treatment rooms operated by ONDA Beauty, a fitness centre and a range of indoor and outdoor social spaces.
Faraway Jackson Hole, located in Wyoming’s Teton Village, builds on the legacy of the former Snake River Lodge and introduces a contemporary mountain retreat designed for year-round tourism. The property includes 90 guestrooms and suites, 48 residences, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and direct access to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

The hotel’s design, developed by Workshop/APD and Jenny Bukovec Studio, is based on a “Wild Western Homestead” concept that combines alpine influences with Western heritage through natural materials and residential-style interiors.
Sure Hand, the property’s all-day restaurant and bar, serves locally inspired cuisine and craft cocktails overlooking the surrounding mountains. Later this summer, the hotel plans to introduce curated outdoor experiences in partnership with Backcountry Safaris, including horseback riding, whitewater rafting and guided tours of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.
Brad Guidi, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Blue Flag Capital, said: “What excites us most is that neither property looks or feels like the other. Every design decision, restaurant concept, and guest experience was developed specifically for its destination. We believe that hospitality is most meaningful when it reflects the culture, history, and character of a place, and these openings are a reflection of that philosophy.”

The openings form part of a broader expansion strategy for Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality. The company recently introduced Hotel Corduroy in Montauk and plans to open Oyster Estate in Greenport later this summer, further expanding its portfolio across Long Island’s East End.
The group’s existing portfolio also includes Blue Iris, Brass Lantern Inn and Life House Nantucket, alongside Faraway Nantucket and Faraway Martha’s Vineyard. With the addition of the two new hotels, the Faraway collection now spans several of the United States’ established leisure destinations while continuing the company’s focus on restoring and repositioning properties with strong local identities.
