NCL takes delivery of new ship Luna

 

Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of its second Prima Plus class ship – Norwegian Luna The handover took place at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard.

“The ship delivers freedom, flexibility and thoughtfully curated experiences, allowing guests to enjoy their vacation exactly how they want, with ease,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of NCL.

“This ship represents the continued evolution of our vision and the incredible work behind this class of ships.”

Luna can accommodate 3,565 passengers.

It will embark on a transatlantic sailing later this month ahead of a christening in Miami on March 27.

It will then operate three- and four-day cruises to The Bahamas, plus seven-day Caribbean cruises.

Starting next month, Norwegian Luna will offer Eastern Caribbean itineraries to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, USVI and calls at private island Great Stirrup Cay.

From November, Western Caribbean sailings visit Roatán, Honduras, Cozumel, and the Harvest Caye private destination.

Next year NCL Luna will homeport in New York City for Bermuda voyages.
