Apaleo launches AI Copilot for hospitality operations

MUNICH – Apaleo, an API-first property management platform for hospitality businesses, has announced the launch of Apaleo Copilot, an AI-powered agentic layer embedded within its system to support hotel operations.

The new functionality enables staff to manage operational tasks through a chat-based interface, allowing them to perform actions such as checking arrivals, extending stays, planning housekeeping, resolving overbookings, and assigning rooms without switching between multiple systems.

Apaleo Copilot is built on the company’s open, API-first architecture, offering a scalable approach to artificial intelligence deployment. Rather than introducing a separate tool, the solution integrates directly into existing workflows, providing a shared infrastructure that can be adapted to each property’s operating model.

Hospitality businesses can upload standard operating procedures and internal documentation in plain-text format, enabling the system to learn and align with established processes. This allows Apaleo Copilot to interpret requests in context and execute tasks based on predefined operational standards.

The platform is designed to evolve over time, becoming increasingly tailored to individual properties, groups, or brands. In addition, third-party applications and external agents can connect to the system, supporting agent-to-agent communication and enabling broader automation across the hospitality technology ecosystem.

The launch comes as hospitality operators face increasing pressure to maintain efficiency with lean teams while adapting to growing expectations around AI adoption. Research by NYU and BCG indicates that only 2.9% of full-time employees in travel and tourism possess AI-related skills, compared with 21% in technology and media sectors.

Further findings from BCG’s 2025 “AI at Work” survey show that regular AI usage among frontline employees remains at 51%, but increases when appropriate tools are available.

Apaleo Copilot is positioned to address these challenges by embedding AI directly into day-to-day operations, allowing non-technical staff to interact with complex systems through natural language while improving efficiency across the technology stack.
