Stornoway Port is set for its busiest cruise season ever with 89 cruise ship calls during 2026.
It forecasts these calls will bring around 60,000 passengers to the Outer Hebrides, which would generate as much as £7.8 million in spending.
Ships with scheduled calls in 2026 include MSC Preziosa, the Carnival Legend and Cunard’s Queen Anne.
It is increasingly attracting larger ships thanks to the opening of the £59 million Deep Water Terminal.
“Our Deep Water Terminal continues to transform what the port can offer, strengthening our ability to accommodate larger vessels and enhancing the overall visitor experience,” said Kirsty Hutchison, Cruise & Marketing Manager at Stornoway Port.
“These investments are about more than infrastructure. They are about securing lasting economic benefit for the Outer Hebrides.”
