Bodrum is positioned as one of the Mediterranean’s established luxury
destinations, attracting international travellers seeking high-end hospitality,
natural scenery, and marina-led leisure infrastructure.
Shangri-La Bodrum will be located on the northwest end of the Bodrum peninsula in Yalikavak, approximately 10 minutes from Yalıkavak Marina, and adjacent to The One Bodrum development. The resort will feature 70 guest rooms and 10 private villas, a private beach, and views of the Aegean Sea. The opening is anticipated in the first half of 2029.
The development follows the operation of Shangri-La
Bosphorus, Istanbul and forms part of the Group’s wider strategy to expand its
portfolio of luxury leisure properties across Europe and the Mediterranean.
“Bodrum’s spectacular natural setting, international appeal, and rising
recognition as a global luxury hub make it an exceptional addition to our
portfolio,” said Mr. Chee
Wui Chua. “We
are delighted to bring Shangri-La’s timeless hospitality and contemporary
sophistication to this remarkable corner of the world.”
“We are proud to
collaborate with Shangri-La Group on a project that will redefine luxury
hospitality in Bodrum,” said
Mr. Çepni. “This
resort will set a new benchmark for refined living and elevate Bodrum’s global
standing as a destination of distinction.”
