Úbico signs deal with Acai Travel to deploy AI-powered agents

Spanish travel management company Úbico has announced a strategic partnership with Acai Travel to use AI-powered agents to improve service levels.

Úbicowhich is the corporate travel brand of Spanish tourism giant World2Meet (W2M), will embed Acai’s “agentic” API within its systems with the aim of providing “faster, smarter and more scalable travel” to clients.

The brand, which is ranked as the seventh largest TMC in Spain, said the move will allow it to reduce “reliance on traditional workflows”, while stressing that AI “enhances the work of the team rather than replacing it”.

Alejandro de la Mata, head of corporate services and solutions at W2M’s corporate division, said: “We move fast. Our business is growing at incredible speed and we need partners who understand what that means operationally.

“We built Ubico from scratch to challenge the legacy TMC model. Partnering with Acai allows us to go even further, building a tech-enabled, agent-augmented service model that truly reflects what a next-generation TMC should be.”

W2M’s group-wide agreement with Acai will see AI-powered agents also being introduced across its leisure and wholesale operations during 2026. The AI agents learn how to send queries to the right human consultants, as well as being able to resolve some issues themselves based on traveller profile, policy and fare complexity.

Acai Travel specialises in building AI-based products for the travel industry with a focus on reducing the workload of human agents. It also works with other TMCs, including Altour. Travel tech giant Amadeus made an investment in New York-based Acai earlier this year.

Riccardo Vittoria, CEO of Acai Travel, added: “We’re proud to be working together to bring AI co-pilots to agents and fully agentic automation to travellers, all with complete control and transparency.”
