Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a trailblazer in global
cruise travel with a legacy spanning 59 years, has unveiled its eagerly awaited
winter 2027/28 plans for the northern hemisphere. Offering an array of
sun-drenched getaways, culturally immersive journeys, and the ultimate freedom
to tailor a holiday experience, NCL is set to elevate cruising to new heights
both on board and ashore.
Following the recent announcement of 50 sailings for
Norwegian Spirit®’s 2027/28 return to Australia and New Zealand, an enriching
Asia season for Norwegian Jade®, and an extended Hawai’i season for Pride of
America®, NCL has introduced an additional 320 voyages, focusing on the
Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Mexican Riviera. This brings the total
to more than 370 newly released sailings across 50 countries, ensuring guests
have unparalleled options for their explorations, whether close to home or far
abroad.
San Juan Welcomes Two Prima Class Ships
In a historic first, two of NCL’s newest ships will
homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Norwegian Prima® and Norwegian Viva® will
both offer week-long voyages to the Southern Caribbean. From 13 November 2027
to 22 April 2028, Norwegian Prima® will operate Saturday departures, featuring
seven-day itineraries with calls at Road Town (Tortola), British Virgin
Islands; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia;
Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Meanwhile, Norwegian Viva® will offer southbound voyages with Sunday
turnarounds from 14 November 2027 to 23 January 2028, with additional stops in
Aruba and Curaçao, bringing guests closer to vibrant cultures and endless
sunshine.
Florida Homeports Present Diverse Cruise Options
Seven ships from NCL’s Florida-based homeports will
serve guests sailing to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Panama Canal. Many of these
sailings will include a visit to Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private Bahamian
destination, which is set to undergo exciting upgrades, including a new pier, a
heated swimming pool, and the Great Tides Waterpark, enhancing the island
experience.
From Miami, known as the “Cruise Capital of the World,” ships such as Norwegian Joy®, Norwegian Jewel®, and Norwegian Luna™ will offer various itineraries, from short Bahamas getaways to extended Caribbean and Panama Canal voyages. Norwegian Joy® will offer three- and four-day Bahamas escapes between November 2027 and April 2028. Norwegian Jewel® will sail 10- and 11-day journeys to the Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal, while Norwegian Luna™ will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries from October 2027 to April 2028, including stops at Great Stirrup Cay.
Expanding Cruise Choices from Port Canaveral
Norwegian Aqua®, Norwegian Breakaway®, and Norwegian
Epic® will also depart from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, offering
additional options for guests. Norwegian Aqua, one of NCL’s newest vessels,
will operate seven-day Western Caribbean cruises starting in October 2027,
visiting destinations such as the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and Mexico, as well
as Great Stirrup Cay. Norwegian Breakaway® will offer four- and five-day
Bahamas and Caribbean voyages from November 2027 through March 2028, while
Norwegian Epic® will sail seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Fridays.
Norwegian Dawn Returns to Jacksonville
Norwegian Dawn® will return to Jacksonville, Florida,
on 19 November 2027, marking the start of her second season from JAXPORT. The
ship will operate four- and five-day Bahamas itineraries through April 2028,
including stops in Freeport, Nassau, and Great Stirrup Cay.
Year-Round Cruises from Philadelphia
NCL remains committed to its Philadelphia homeport,
with Norwegian Pearl® offering five- to 12-day sailings to Bermuda, the
Bahamas, and the Eastern and Southern Caribbean from October 2027 through April
2028. Bermuda sailings will feature overnight stays in the Royal Naval
Dockyard, while the Bahamas cruises will include visits to Jacksonville, Port
Canaveral, and Nassau. Southern Caribbean itineraries will take guests to
destinations like Philipsburg (St. Maarten), Bridgetown (Barbados), and St.
John’s (Antigua and Barbuda).
Western Caribbean Adventures from the Gulf Coast
Norwegian Escape® and Norwegian Getaway® will sail
seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries from two iconic Gulf Coast cities,
Galveston, Texas, and New Orleans, Louisiana, between November 2027 and April
2028. These cruises will feature stops in popular destinations like Cozumel
(Mexico), Roatán (Honduras), and Harvest Caye, NCL’s resort-style private
island in Belize.
Norwegian Encore Offers Mexican Riviera Cruises
From Los Angeles, Norwegian Encore® will offer
seven-day round-trip Mexican Riviera cruises, visiting Cabo San Lucas,
Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta. These sailings, departing every Sunday from
October 2027 through April 2028, will feature a wealth of family-friendly
activities, including a multi-level racetrack, an adults-only lounge, and
world-class entertainment.
Expanded Itineraries for Norwegian Spirit® and Norwegian Jade®
In addition to the expanded sailings announced for
2027/28, NCL’s Norwegian Spirit® and Norwegian Jade® will offer voyages ranging
from week-long getaways to immersive 21-day journeys, visiting nearly 70 unique
ports of call. These sailings will include visits to 22 ports across Japan, 54
overnight stays, and NCL’s first-ever stop in Esperance, along with an
overnight in Fremantle, Australia, ensuring deeper destination immersion and
cultural exploration.
