Bogotá, November 28, 2025. Due to the urgent software update required by Airbus for a significant portion of the global A320 fleet, there will inevitably be impacts on Avianca's operations.
All efforts of our team are focused on making the required modifications as quickly as possible and offering alternatives to our customers to minimize the impact on their travel plans.
In this regard, the company is offering affected passengers the possibility of being rebooked on the closest available options with Avianca or with airlines with which Avianca maintains a commercial relationship.
Additionally, if these options do not fit your travel plans, the company offers:
Rescheduling the flight date, without penalty or fare difference, and subject to availability, to travel up to 180 days after the original flight date, through the Contact Center.
Requesting a refund for unused segments, through the website, the Contact Center, Avianca's own stores, or the travel agency where the purchase was made.
The airline recommends:
Checking communications that will be sent to the email associated with your booking or through our official channels.
Checking your flight status at avianca.com.
If your flight is not confirmed, avoid going to the airport.
It is worth remembering that Avianca has closed sales for travel dates up to and including December 8th to avoid a greater impact and to allow for the reallocation of passengers who have already purchased tickets on available flights.
The entire Avianca team is working to restore full operational normalcy as soon as possible.
