airBaltic Launches Direct Flights Between Gran Canaria and Ljubljana

The Latvian airline airBaltic today, October 31, 2025, launched direct flights connecting its seasonal base in Gran Canaria (Spain) with Ljubljana (Slovenia). The service will operate weekly on Fridays until early April 2026, with an approximate flight time of 5 hours. This winter flight season, airBaltic will operate a total of seven direct routes from Gran Canaria to destinations across the Baltics, Scandinavia, and Central Europe, offering a wide range of travel options.

Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic: “The new route between the two cities is expected to attract more tourists from Slovenia to Gran Canaria during the colder months, when travelers in Central Europe are seeking sunny and warm destinations, while also providing residents of Gran Canaria the opportunity to explore Ljubljana, famous for its beautiful old town, and lively atmosphere. We are grateful to our partners in Gran Canaria for supporting this expansion, which improves the island’s connectivity to a variety of destinations in Europe.”
