Waldorf Astoria New York, in collaboration with Maison Guerlain, has officially opened the Guerlain Wellness Spa, marking the debut of the world’s largest Guerlain spa and ushering in a new era of luxury wellness in the heart of Manhattan.
Spanning 22,000 square feet and managed by Trilogy Spa Holdings, the Guerlain Wellness Spa combines French artistry, modern design, and pioneering technology to deliver a deeply personalized approach to well-being. Located on the hotel’s fifth floor, the expansive facility features 16 treatment rooms, including two VIP double suites, as well as advanced amenities such as a Cryotherapy Chamber, infra-red sauna, steam room, Moroccan hammam, arctic snow cave, and three wellness lounges.
Luigi Romaniello, Managing Director of Waldorf Astoria New York, said: “With the debut of Guerlain Wellness Spa, we are proud to welcome the largest Guerlain spa in the world to Waldorf Astoria New York. Designed as a true sanctuary, it brings together world-class design, cutting-edge technology, and personalized care, offering an unparalleled wellness experience in the heart of Manhattan.”
A holistic approach to wellness
The Guerlain Wellness Spa offers traditional spa services alongside immersive wellness programs centered on four key pillars – nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness. Guests can choose between multi-month personalized programs, three-day retreats, or targeted one-hour sessions addressing specific needs such as stress relief, sleep improvement, or skin rejuvenation.
Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO of Maison Guerlain, emphasized the significance of the opening: “More than a hotel spa, this is a true sanctuary nestled in the heart of Manhattan — a place where beauty, wellness, and longevity converge. This exceptional destination embodies Guerlain’s Art of Wellness, combining French art de vivre and exceptional savoir-faire to redefine the future of well-being.”

Signature rituals and tailored treatments
The spa’s treatment menu, created by Amélie Demange, Guerlain’s Head of Wellness & Aesthetic Creation, pays tribute to Waldorf Astoria’s rich history while showcasing Guerlain’s expertise in French spa artistry.
Signature rituals include:
- Spirit of Achievement, a tension-releasing massage inspired by the hotel’s iconic statue.
 - Like Clockwork, a vibroacoustic sound therapy ritual inspired by the Waldorf Astoria Clock.
 - Golden Hour, a face-sculpting treatment that enhances radiance using cold spheres and Gua Sha.
 - Deep Muscular Signé New York, a deep tissue massage capturing Manhattan’s dynamic energy.

Additional treatments include bespoke facials and body therapies, the Orchidée Impériale anti-aging collection, and tailored wellness experiences for men, couples, and special occasions.
Dino Michael, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Hilton’s Luxury Brands, said: “Wellness is an essential expression of modern luxury, and at Waldorf Astoria it has long been part of our promise to guests. With the Guerlain Wellness Spa, we bring that philosophy to life through artistry, innovation, and sophistication.”
Advanced technology meets timeless artistry
The spa features Guerlain’s LongeviSkin device, combining seven advanced skincare technologies – LED, plasma, microcurrent, ultrasound, cryo, radiofrequency, and micropeel – to target firmness, radiance, and signs of aging. Other highlights include the Amphibia Welnamis system for vibroacoustic therapy, a Cryotherapy Chamber, and AI-powered virtual reality goggles for immersive relaxation.
David Stoup, Co-Founder and Chairman of Trilogy, noted: “The reopening of the Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York celebrates the union of two iconic brands synonymous with luxury hospitality and holistic well-being. Together, we’ve created an experience that elevates wellness for travelers and New Yorkers alike.”
Design inspired by heritage and innovation
Designed by Wimberly Interiors, the spa’s aesthetic draws from Waldorf Astoria’s Art Deco heritage and Guerlain’s Parisian elegance. The interiors feature sculptural lines, metallic accents, and tactile materials in soft whites and warm woods, creating a serene yet sophisticated environment.
The wellness experience extends beyond the spa itself. Residents of Waldorf Astoria Residences New York enjoy exclusive access to a 25-meter pool, private treatment rooms, and a Guerlain-curated fitness center on the 25th floor. A new 7,000-square-foot fitness center, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, complements the spa’s offerings with advanced equipment, personal training, and Technogym consultations.
Later this year, two Guerlain boutiques will open on the ground floor of the hotel, bringing the Maison’s signature perfumes and skincare collections to New York City.
Following an extensive restoration, Waldorf Astoria New York has reemerged as one of Manhattan’s most iconic hospitality landmarks – blending historic grandeur with modern sophistication and reaffirming its place as a leader in the global luxury hotel landscape.
