MUNICH – Munich Airport has announced its 2025/2026 Winter flight schedule, effective from October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, featuring 184 destinations across 68 countries. The program includes 11 domestic, 119 medium-haul, and 54 long-haul routes, operated by a total of 81 airlines.
Lufthansa expands its global network
Lufthansa is expanding its long-haul operations with the relaunch of routes to Riyadh, Johannesburg, and São Paulo. The connection to Riyadh, last operated in 2017, returns with three weekly Airbus A350-900 flights to the Saudi capital. The airline will also resume services to Johannesburg and São Paulo.
In addition, Lufthansa’s A380 fleet will continue to serve Bangkok, Delhi, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, while its subsidiary Discover Airlines will launch a new long-haul route to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, with up to three weekly flights. The route responds to increasing demand for warm-weather destinations during the European winter.
Cathay Pacific will maintain four weekly flights between Hong Kong and Munich using Airbus A350 aircraft, while EVA Air will continue its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service from Taipei, featuring its new Premium Economy Class.
New and returning short- and medium-haul routes
Royal Air Maroc will resume direct flights to Casablanca from October 20, 2025, operating the route twice a week. The connection offers convenient links to West and Central Africa, including destinations such as Gambia, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Beginning December 15, 2025, Air Arabia will launch daily flights from Munich to Sharjah, marking Munich as the first German destination served by the airline from the UAE’s cultural capital.
Within Europe, Norwegian will introduce two weekly flights to Tromsø starting at the end of October, connecting travelers to northern Norway’s Arctic landscapes and opportunities to view the Northern Lights.
Connections to Bucharest will also expand, with FlyOne Romania and AnimaWings both entering the route. EasyJet will enhance connectivity with the United Kingdom, offering three weekly flights to Bristol, a port city in southwest England known for its vibrant cultural scene.
Aegean Airlines will, for the first time, extend its Munich–Heraklion (HER) service into the winter schedule, operating two weekly flights in December until January 4. The route will resume earlier than usual in February 2026. Meanwhile, Transavia will continue its three weekly flights to Paris-Orly, launched in April 2025, throughout the winter period.
