Get Ready For More Carnival Magic In Galveston With Four Ships In 2027-28

Carnival Cruise Line recently announced that, as part of the 2027-2028 deployment, it will bring four ships to Galveston, Texas. This includes the Carnival Horizon and Carnival Spirit, both of which will be premiering homeporting in the city. With these new ships, Carnival continues to strengthen its position as the leader in the Texas cruise market, providing additional variety and exciting new itineraries to satisfy the growing demand for cruise vacations.

Starting in May 2027, Galveston will host four Carnival ships: Carnival Horizon, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Jubilee. This new lineup will provide a combination of short 4-day cruises and long extended trips, so every traveler will have a choice that suits their style. This announcement continues Carnival Cruise Line’s strategy of broadening the variety of cruise experiences available to Texans, a market that has seen steady growth in demand for cruises.

Starting May 19, 2027, the Carnival Horizon will start its sailings out of Galveston, making it the first Vista-class ship out of that port. It provides an eight-day Caribbean cruise with stops in Montego Bay, the Grand Cayman, and Isla Tropicale. Then it will start its regular four and five-day cruises to the Western Caribbean, hitting ports of  Cozumel and Progreso.

On October 11, 2027, Spirit-class Carnival Spirit will launch its first voyage from Galveston after finishing its Alaska sailing season. The ship will strategically operate four to six-day cruises to Progreso, Cozumel, and Belize. Additionally, guests will enjoy breathtaking views during 11 10-day Caribbean and Panama cruises. Additionally, the ship offers the popular Panama Canal Journeys, a 16-day cruise from Seattle to Galveston, departing on September 25, 2027. The award-winning restaurants on board, from Guy’s Burger Joint to Alchemy Bar, will delight guests with a variety of meals and drinks.

Carnival Breeze

A schedule transformation in May 2027 will mark the commencement of the Carnival Breeze’s five and seven-day itinerary offerings. Along with Eastern and Western sailings in the Caribbean, the itinerary includes a special Christmas cruise on December 18, 2027, which lasts for eight days, as well as twenty-day cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. Favorite features of the Carnival Breeze include the Cloud 9 spa, as well as waterworks and sports square to meet the fun and relaxing needs of the family.

Carnival Jubilee

Continuing from Galveston, the flagship Carnival Jubilee undertakes six and eight-day cruises from May 2027 to April 2028. Serving the Western Caribbean with excursions to Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, as well as the Bahamas with stops to Nassau, Celebration Key, and Carnival’s private island RelaxAway, the Jubilee is one of the largest in the fleet and offers Excel class luxury on every cruise. With over 30 different venues, as well as a private lounge for each bar and onboard liquified gas powered, The Jubilee is the first in Texas. Blending modern design with exotic features, Carnival redefines environmentally friendly cruising in Texas.

Carnival’s Devotion to Texas and Global Customers

Christine Duffy, Carnival Cruise Line’s President, touts more than a commitment to Texas. Duffy noted, ‘Galveston serves as one of our top three home ports.’ She said, ‘We’re deploying four ships to the region for the 2027-28 season, and that should enhance the range of travel choice for residents of Texas and customers from other parts of the globe.’ During a cruise, no one wants to be bored, so our company strives to offer flexible package alternatives that fit every vacation need.

Finally, with the new deployments, Carnival still retains full leadership over Galveston’s status as the ‘cruising capital of the Western Caribbean.’ Our customers don’t have to settle for a boring vacation because Carnival’s entire fleet is tailored to deliver something special for everyone to include families and ultra-luxe clientele.

Prospects for Season 2027-28

Texas enjoys the lion’s share of Carnival’s 2027-28 cruise line season. Texas is set to lose its cruise line Sandwich seat with the addition of Carnival Spirit and Carnival Horizon. More than ever, it’s clear that Galveston holds the preferred port so Carnival retains Texas’s top cruise operator advantage. Guests boarding at Galveston save travel time from more distant embarkation ports, and season 2027-28 increases the line’s quick escape and prolonged cruise options.

With the new deployment, Carnival aims to strengthen its goal to expand its business reach by catering to customers across the U.S. and additional countries at an economical price. Carnival has continuously devoted itself to excellence. More innovative vacation experiences will be created for all vacationers.
