MIAMI, FL – Star Clippers announce the promotion of longtime employee Cyndi Denman to the new position of Director of Sales. Cyndi’s new role will be to build Star Clippers’ business by working with the company’s strategic partners and accounts, as well as growing charter sales and increasing the account base. The company has hired Sheryll Pyle to replace Cyndi in the role of Business Development Executive for the Southeast region.
“Cyndi has been with us for more than nine years and has been instrumental in our continued growth in the North American market,” offered Terri Haas, Star Clippers Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “I have known Cyndi for many years, and she brings extensive industry knowledge to her new role. We have complete confidence in her ability to expand our strategic partnerships and grow both our charter sales and add new travel advisor relationships to our extensive roster.”
Bringing more than 25 years of leading roles in the travel industry, Cyndi has earned her stellar reputation as a strong performer. Previous management positions in sales with airlines (Continental, Air Jamaica), tour operators (Pleasant Holidays) and cruise lines (Costa, Ponant, Un-Cruise) has given her the opportunity to develop strong and productive relationships with travel advisors and agencies.
Taking Cyndi’s previous position as of Business Development Executive for the Southeast region will be Sheryll Pyle. Sheryll began her career as a front-line travel advisor more than 20 years ago, giving her first-hand insight into agency operations. She also worked inside with Gogo Worldwide Vacations and had prior experience with Dube Travel Leaders. She has considerable experience in business development and account management and brings her considerable passion for travel to her role. The Southeast region consists of Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, DC, West Virginia and Tennessee. Sheryll is based in Texas and will report to Terri Haas.
For more than 35 years, Star Clippers has been introducing travelers to the thrill of modern tall-ship sailing to remote ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Central America.
