TUI Group has partnered with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the design and construction of two new cruise vessels for Marella Cruises, a UK-based brand. Set to launch in 2030 and 2032, these ships are projected to cost more than 2 billion euros.
Tailored for the UK market, the vessels will provide a high-end cruising experience, incorporating sustainable innovations. These two ships will mark the first newbuilds for the Marella Cruises fleet.
Fincantieri is also the preferred shipbuilder for TUI Cruises, a collaboration between TUI and Royal Caribbean. In February, the company delivered the “Mein Schiff Relax,” a dual-fuel powered vessel, to the cruise line. Its sister ship, the “Mein Schiff Flow,” is set for delivery in 2026.
