American Hospitality Management has appointed Matt Hughes as its new COO. He will be focused on improving day-to-day operations and driving greater efficiency across the organization.
He brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience to the company, having begun his career in banquet setup and housekeeping before rising to GM roles and ultimately serving as VP, operations for a portfolio of 32 hotels.
Hughes’ experience includes partnerships with major hospitality brands such as Choice Hotels, IHG, Wyndham, Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt. He has successfully opened 22 hotels throughout his career.
