Chanelle has always felt admiration for the entertainment industry. Although she found acting exciting, it wasn’t her childhood dream as she was quite shy and timid growing up. However, her participation in the world of beauty pageants brought a shift in how she approached her own limitations. Becoming an ambassador for Curaçao in 2016 was a big step in her life that made her realize what she was truly capable of achieving. Chanelle’s acting career began in 2018 when she moved to Los Angeles to pursue modeling and commercial acting. At the North Hollywood acting school, she learned theatre, which, along with various commercial acting workshops, helped develop her skills as an actress. Dating My Past marks the third time Chanelle appears in a feature film, and she is excited to take on this lead role. “They say ‘Third time’s the charm.’ And I feel that this role is an important milestone in my career. The film carries a meaningful message about love and self-worth, which I believe will resonate with many people,” Chanelle stated.
Following its premiere here in Curaçao, the film will also premiere in the United States. In Curaçao, the public is invited to watch Dating My Past starting November 8 at The Movies, Otrobanda.
