: ATB DEBUTS ANGUILLA’S DIVE PRODUCT AT DEMA SHOW 2024

 The Valley, Anguilla, November 27, 2024:  A delegation led by the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) promoted the island as a premier diving location and a global leader in sustainable dive tourism at the DEMA (Dive Equipment and Marketing Association) Show 2024, held November 19 – 22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  The Anguilla team was comprised of Kimberly King, Chief Marketing Officer at the Anguilla Tourist Board; Matthew Billington, Owner of Scuba Shack AXA; and Sally Glen, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf ClubAnguilla’s Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Haydn Hughes, officially launched the Dive Tourism Policy at a press conference on November 13, 2024.  Key highlights of the policy include a focus on Sustainable Dive Practices, promoting Marine Conservation Best Practices, an emphasis on Community Involvement, and the development of Partnerships & Strategic Collaborations with local operators within the dive sector.

 
The DEMA Show is the premier global event for diving, travel, and action water sports professionals.  This trade-only event attracts over 500 exhibitors, 300 educational opportunities, and thousands of attendees, and is the catalyst for uniting the industry. 
 
“DEMA 2024 was a tremendous success for Anguilla. As our debut participation, our primary objective was to establish visibility as a dive destination,” stated Ms. Kimberly King, Chief Marketing Officer, ATB. “We not only engaged extensively with dive leaders and agencies about what Anguilla has to offer, but also secured group bookings for 2026 and beyond. These efforts mark a significant milestone, and we are eager to build on this momentum. Special thanks go to Scuba Shack AXA and Aurora Anguilla for their invaluable contributions.”
