The Schwartz Family Company has successfully acquired the well-known Leura Gardens Resort, located in the scenic Blue Mountains of New South Wales.
This acquisition strengthens the Schwartz Family Company’s presence in the Blue Mountains, adding to its portfolio, which already includes the prestigious Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains and Leura Golf Club. All three properties are conveniently situated within minutes of each other.
Leura Gardens Resort is the 15th property in the Schwartz hotel collection, purchased for $25 million from the Elanor Hotel Accommodation Fund. Management of the resort will be handled by Trilogy Hotels.
Originally opened in 1970, the resort’s iconic gardens date back to the 1920s, crafted by Lady Mabel Fairfax and her gardener, Hector Hood. These gardens continue to be a highlight of the property’s expansive four-and-a-half-acre landscaped grounds, located just a short distance from the charming village of Leura, the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park.
The recently renovated Leura Gardens Resort features 92 accommodations, including studio and family rooms, as well as self-contained apartments. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a solar-heated outdoor pool, a fitness room, a guest lounge, and the Olive Tree Restaurant. Additionally, the Schwartz-owned Leura Golf Course is conveniently situated across the road.
With its vast grounds, multiple conference and event spaces, and onsite restaurant, Leura Gardens Resort is a favored choice for weddings, functions, conferences, and corporate retreats. The resort will now collaborate with Fairmont Resort and Leura Golf Course, creating one of the most comprehensive destination venues for conferences and events in regional New South Wales.
