KITF 2024 attracts travel industry leaders from Central Asia

From April 24 to April 26, 2024, the bustling city of Almaty will host the prestigious Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (KITF 2024) at the Atakent KCBC, marking a significant event in the global tourism calendar.

Since its inception in 2001, KITF has emerged as Central Asia’s most significant annual tourism event, experiencing consistent growth and increasing international participation. This year, the exhibition expects to welcome 406 companies from 28 diverse countries, making it a melting pot of cultural and business opportunities in the tourism sector.

A Showcase of Global and Regional Tourism Potentials

KITF 2024 will serve as a comprehensive platform displaying the full spectrum of the tourism industry’s current capabilities, focusing on inbound, domestic, and international travel sectors. With exhibitors from countries as varied as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Georgia, Greece, Egypt, Italy, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, and many more, the exhibition will offer a unique glimpse into both established and emerging markets. Particularly noteworthy this year is the inclusion of new participants from Kamchatka Territory, Altai Republic, Romania, and Phu Quoc, Vietnam, who will be introducing their destinations to an international audience for the first time.

Bridging Continents and Cultures

At its core, KITF is more than just a travel exhibition; it acts as a bridge between continents and cultures, facilitating not only economic but also cultural exchanges. The exhibition floor, adorned with 16 national stands, will not only present new business opportunities but also immerse visitors in the national flavors and traditions of the participating countries. This cultural showcase plays a crucial role in increasing the attractiveness and understanding of diverse tourism destinations.

Dynamic Business Program and Learning Opportunities

The KITF 2024 agenda is packed with a dynamic business program spanning all three days of the exhibition. The program will kick off with the “TREND ZONE: Points of Attraction” marathon, offering attendees insights into current and future tourism trends. A highlight of the event will be the plenary session titled “Alga, Kazakhstan!: tools for tourism development,” where international experts will discuss successful cases from around the world, explore potential cross-border projects, and delve into government support mechanisms for tourism.

The KITF Travel Forum, another integral part of the exhibition, will feature 17 hours of intensive discussions with 55 industry leaders speaking on pivotal issues and trends within the tourism sector. These sessions will include dialogue platforms, panel discussions, expert seminars, and networking opportunities, all designed to foster dialogue and partnership among travel agencies, hotel chains, airlines, and governmental bodies.

Enhancing International Cooperation and Exchange

Each year, KITF acts as a pivotal platform for the exchange of knowledge and trends in tourism, driving the development of international cooperation. The exhibition facilitates the establishment of valuable contacts and partnerships, crucial for the expansion of global travel networks. By discussing innovations, best practices in the industry, and presenting new tourism products, KITF plays a critical role in shaping the future of international tourism.

Official Support and Organization

KITF 2024 enjoys robust backing from several prominent organizations, ensuring its status as a premier event in the international tourism calendar. Official support is provided by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty city, and several other significant bodies. The event is organized by ITECA Kazakhstan Exhibition Company along with its international partner, the ICA Events Group of Companies, guaranteeing a well-executed and impactful exhibition.

As KITF 2024 approaches, its role as a comprehensive platform for promoting global tourism and fostering cultural exchanges is more pertinent than ever. This event not only highlights the growing importance of tourism as a tool for international relations and economic development but also reinforces the significance of Kazakhstan and Central Asia as pivotal players in the global tourism industry.
