ETOA appoints new members of its Board and Advisory Council

BRUSSELS – During The European Tourism Association’s (ETOA) General Assembly, the voting members of ETOA voted in favour of three new Board members:

  • Helene Dambeck, VP Global Procurement, EF Cultural Tours
  • Adele Youngs, Director, Live Travel and Tours
  • Marco de Rivo, Head of Hotel Operation, MIKI Travel

Simultaneously, ETOA’s President Jennifer Tombaugh announced the expansion of ETOA’s Advisory Council. The new members of the Advisory Council are:

  • Kristiane Heyne-Strauch, Managing Director, Service-Reisen
  • Gareth Jones, Director of Product Development – Tours, Railbookers Group
  • Robyn Stencil, Program Manager – Tours, Rick Steves’ Europe
  • Paolo Fatone, Regional Director, Tiqets International
  • Shirley Sin, Manager, G2 Travel

Marco Weijgertse, who previously represented G2 Travel is now representing Tour Axis, the brand behind Expat Explore Travel and Group Tour ShopShirley Sin will now represent G2 Travel.

Jennifer Tombaugh, President of ETOA and CEO of Tauck says: “For the first time we engaged in a wide call for applications to the Advisory Council, and received an overwhelmingly large response: we had nearly forty applications from well qualified people for a limited places. It was a really difficult task, but we now have additions that help balance the AC to be more representative of the wider membership.

Tom Jenkins, ETOA’s CEO said “The Advisory Council plays a vital role in informing the Secretariat as to what matters to members, driving forward both policy and events. I am delighted that we have one that reflects both the established operators and the changing nature of the industry.”
