The COMAC C919 flew over the Changi Exhibition Centre during the air show as it announced an order of 40 C919s from Tibet Airlines.
COMAC chair He Dongfeng confirmed the order at a signing ceremony with Tibet Airlines at the Air Show.
Tibet Airlines also inked an order for 10 ARJ21 regional jets.
The international debut of COMAC is ‘continued progress in the development of China’s commercial aircraft,’ the plane maker said.
COMAC also plans to launch ‘marketing campaigns to strengthen communications with customers and partners’ during the Air Show.
The C919 is designed as a rival to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.
