As demand for Winter Sun from UK holidaymakers continues, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today responded by putting their biggest ever Winter Sun programme on sale from across all eleven of their UK bases for Winter 24/25.
The biggest ever Winter Sun programme from the UK’s leading leisure airline and largest tour operator offers customers and independent travel agents more seats, choice and flexibility than ever. It also gives them the opportunity to book ahead as this is the earliest that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have ever put their Winter Sun programmes on sale.
An exciting selection of 12 Winter Sun destinations have been put on sale nice and early from Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted Airports for Winter 24/25. The unrivalled programme means over 120 routes have gone on sale in total, including nine brand-new routes, with one of these from existing base – Belfast International Airport to Madeira.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have also extended the season to Malta from Glasgow Airport and from East Midlands Airport, so holidaymakers can visit the destination with the airline and tour operator in winter too.
Following the major announcement last week that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has launched flights and holidays from Liverpool John Lennon Airport – its 11th UK base – the companies’ first ever Winter Sun programme has also gone on sale from the airport today. It means that holidaymakers and independent travel agents across Merseyside and the wider region can now benefit from the airline and tour operator’s award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays during winter for the first time, with eight winter sun routes on sale. This follows a fantastic response from customers and independent travel agents to the launch last week.
The early release of this programme makes Jet2.com and Jet2holidays the first airline and tour operator to put Winter 24/25 on sale, and it comes in direct response to the strong demand from holidaymakers looking to escape the British weather and reach the sunshine.
The Winter Sun destinations going on sale today include the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura), Spain (Alicante and Malaga), Majorca (Palma), Portugal (Faro and Madeira), Turkey (Antalya), Malta and Cyprus (Paphos) (the full programme by base is broken down below). The unrivalled programme represents over 3.7 million seats going on sale to these winter hotspots and means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are offering their biggest ever Winter Sun programme.
With multiple weekly and even multiple daily services on sale to these Winter Sun destinations across the Canary Islands and Mediterranean from early-November 2024 to 29th March 2025, customers and independent travel agents have fantastic choice and flexibility when it comes to booking or enjoying some Winter Sun. Highlights of the programme include over 250 weekly services and 50 routes to the Canaries with the UK’s leading airline and tour operator to the Canary Islands, making Winter 24/25 the largest ever Canary Islands’ programme Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have operated. There are also 90 weekly services to Mainland Spain.
In yet more good news, the companies will be making further Winter 24/25 announcements over the coming months, including the launch of their Ski, City Breaks and Iceland programmes for Winter 24/25.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are very pleased to be putting our biggest ever Winter Sun programme on sale from all eleven of our UK bases. What makes this announcement even more exciting is that we are offering customers and independent travel agents across Merseyside and the wider region the chance to enjoy some Winter Sun with our award-winning airline and package holiday provider for the very first time. We have seen a fantastic response to our launch last week, and we are delighted to be bringing more good news to Liverpool. The early release of this Winter Sun 24/25 programme comes in direct response to the strong demand we are seeing from customers and independent travel agents wanting to book in advance and get the best choice of dates, rooms and resorts, as well spread the cost.”
He added: “In addition to giving customers the chance to book their winter sunshine nice and early, the size and scale of our programme means we are offering fantastic choice and flexibility. For this reason, we are confident that this new programme will prove extremely popular as people look to escape the cold and gloom of the UK in winter and chase the sunshine. We are looking ahead with real confidence and are very excited to be able to share details of our other Winter 24/25 Cities, Ski and Iceland destinations over the coming months.”
