Hunter Hotel Advisors advised on the sale of four Hilton-branded assets throughout Huntsville and Auburn/Opelika, AL.
Tim Osborne and Trey Scott, SVPs at Hunter, advised the institutional seller.
The portfolio provides 361 rooms in high-growth markets across northern and central Alabama. The Home2 Suites Madison Huntsville Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Madison are centrally located between the Huntsville International Airport and Town Madison, a new mixed-use development that has become northern Alabama’s premier live, work, play destination. Other demand drivers include Cummings Research Park, the second largest research park in the nation, and Pro Player Park, a new minor league baseball stadium.
A thirty-minute drive from Huntsville, the Home2 Suites Decatur Ingalls Harbor sits along the Port of Decatur, one of the busiest ports on the Tennessee River and drives heavy corporate demand from industrial and manufacturing companies.
Traveling south, the Home2 Suites Opelika Auburn resides within “Tiger Town,” which serves as the stomping grounds at Auburn University, skyrocketing demand to the area with events such as football games, graduation, family weekend, Greek life events and more.
“This transaction is an investment in Huntsville and Auburn/Opelika, some of the fastest growing economic areas of the country, with a portfolio of newly built, majority extended-stay, Hilton-branded hotels,” said Osborne.
