The tourism industry of Fiji is flourishing and intensifying, with more than 900,000 visitors incoming ever since the borders reopened toward the end of 2021, stated Tourism Fiji. It is a tourism marketing division of the government of Fiji.
Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill was speaking at the Fijian Tourism Expo, which is going on from Saturday to
Monday in Nadi.
He said that visitor expenditure has already exceeded anticipations, reaching 3.5 billion Fijian dollars.
Hill said that inclinations specify that the average stopover has gone up to 9.7 nights. Visitor fulfillment
rates are at 93 percent.
The CEO also said that as per latest reports, occupancy amounts and regular daily proportions of Fiji Airways, which is the national airline of the country, have both surpassed the levels of 2019, promising a robust comeback for the industry.
As said by Viliame Gavoka, Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister, Fiji witnessed arrivals of 175,284 visitors in the course of the first quarter of 2023.
