Vivint recently 1,000 people to find out how many travelers have anxiety about leaving home for the first time since the pandemic began and one costly mistake they are making before leaving their homes unattended.
Some Study Highlights:
- 65% of Americans are planning to leave their home for vacation this year. For 3 out of 5 people, this is the first time leaving their home for an extended period since the pandemic began
- 67% of millennials are traveling, compared to 64% of Gen Xers and 58% of baby boomers
- 89% of Americans have anxiety about leaving their homes for vacation — travel costs (57%), home security (42%), Covid-19 (39%) and travel delays (34%) are people’s top anxieties
- More than 1 in 5 people are posting their location and travel plans on social media, with millennials (24%) the most likely to do so.
