Mumbai Airport Is All Set To Welcome Passengers After The Lockdown ...

On Saturday Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) announced that it had put together several measures to curb the spread of coronavirus and added that its Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) is ready for operations.

Even though the Central government is yet to set a date for the resumption of flight operations, airports across India.

The airport officials have formulated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the safety of passengers. There will be continuous sanitisation of the spaces and maintaining social distancing norms, the post lockdown measures will also include compulsory thermal screening.

At both the terminals the airport will also set up temporary quarantine centers.

Post the government announcing a date for resumption of domestic and international flight services, here’s what
Passengers can expect at the Mumbai International Airport after the resumption of domestic and international flight services distinctive markings at both the terminals.
Markings will be at the entry gate, check-in counters, self-check-in kiosks, security checkpoints, food courts, lounge area, and the boarding area amongst others
Passengers to  maintain a 1.5 meters distance between each other

Also, the sitting arrangements at the food court and terminal building will be rearranged and  screening will be conducted before anyone enters the terminal building
Passengers showing symptoms will be immediately taken to quarantine facilities and hand sanitisers will be at all the touchpoints.
